The unsung hero of almost every shoot.
There’s a reason the humble C-stand is found on every professional video production set. When it comes to versatility, strength, and day-to-day reliability, nothing beats it — especially the Kupo 40” Silver Master C-Stand. This is our go-to on shoots across Melbourne and beyond for holding everything from diffusion to flags to heavy modifiers and lights.
We pack a bunch of these on every job — because they just work.
Built for real-world production
The Kupo 40” comes with a quick-release turtle base, making it fast to set up and break down, especially when you’re working lean or constantly repositioning during interviews or commercial setups. Its solid steel construction and high 295cm reach mean it holds up under pressure — whether that’s a 600D punching through a dome or a floppy flag working hard to kill spill on a polished boardroom table.
What we like about this model:
• Detachable quick-release base (saves time, saves stress)
• 40” / 101cm grip arm with 2.5” grip head included
• V-shaped jaws for accessories of all sizes (5/8”, 1/2”, 3/8”, 1/4”)
• Textured steel arm to keep things from slipping when clamped
• Ergonomic T-handle and roller bearings for torque and control
• It holds just about anything we throw at it — from lights to road cases (kidding… sort of)
What we actually use it for:
• Overhead lighting with diffusion (paired with a menace arm or boom)
• Flags, floppies, and silks for controlling light on interviews and testimonials
• Light modifiers like lanterns or domes on our Aputure 600D or Nova panels
• Holding backgrounds, bounce, or edge lights in tight or asymmetrical setups
• Video podcast production: rigging mics, lighting, or cameras when we need things off the ground and rock steady
Because we’re not a rental house, all of our grip and lighting gear travels with us on the Full Stack Films van — packed, maintained, and ready to go. These C-stands are part of our core lighting setup, and we’ve used them on just about every kind of job — from branded content and corporate interviews to documentary shoots.
Need a crew that knows what to do with a C-stand?
We don’t just carry the gear — we know how to use it. Let’s talk production.
