Aputure F22C RGBWW Flex Mat — Compact Powerhouse for Soft, Colour-Accurate Lighting

The Aputure F22C is our compact, ultra-flexible 2x2’ RGBWW LED mat that delivers high output, rich colour control, and soft light — all in a lightweight, travel-ready package. It’s a favourite in our Melbourne video production kit for quick-turn shoots, interviews in tight spaces, and overhead lighting for video podcast production.

Think of it as the little sibling to our Intellytech Mega-6FC — it’s the same kind of flexible, soft panel lighting, just smaller and easier to rig in compact setups. Perfect for when we don’t need the full 3x4’ footprint but still want beautiful, flattering light.

Why it lives in our van:

100W RGBWW power gives us full creative control over colour and temperature (2500K to 7500K).

• High CRI/TLCI ratings (95+/97+) for clean, colour-accurate skin tones.

• Fully adjustable via HSI control, built-in effects, and app-based or DMX control options.

• Mounts easily with the included X-frame and baby pin adapters, straight or right-angled — whatever the rig calls for.

How we use it:

We regularly use the F22C for interviews, brand videos, and corporate work when we want a soft, professional light setup without overcomplicating things. It’s particularly handy in tight office spaces, or when rigged overhead with a menace arm for podcasts and testimonials. The included softbox and diffusion layers give us a super flattering wrap — without the bulk of a traditional soft light.

Part of our lighting system:

• The F22C complements our Intellytech Mega-6FC perfectly — small and nimble where needed, big and bold when it counts.

• It also works seamlessly with our other Aputure lights, making colour consistency and control a breeze.

Small but mighty — the Aputure F22C proves that great lighting doesn’t have to take up the whole room.
