The team contacted Full Stack Films in July of 2017 after spending 18 months designing a product to improve the way people track time at their desk.
Up until meeting the team in July, they had self-funded Tiller; Spending time and money on refining prototypes of the product.
Our first meeting explored the opportunities of video production for the launch of Tiller, more specifically, a crowdfunding video as part of a Kickstarter campaign.
With a focus on user-testing, the Tiller team believed crowdfunding the final stages of the product would keep within the ethos of user-focussed product design, giving customers an early opportunity to be part of the journey.
We designed Tiller to make the time tracking straightforward, simple, and unobtrusive. Tiller’s hardware and software makes it effortless to start and stop a task, in order to deliberately transition between everything you need to do in a day.
The hardware includes a status light, which makes it much easier to remember to keep on top of your time sheets. It doesn’t get lost in between windows or hidden in a tab.
Just one tap starts or stops a timer, and a small turn switches between items. It’s a significant reduction compared to other software-based products.

We love producing crowdfunding videos at Full Stack Films. Six years ago, we collaborated with the team at Quad Lock, producing a Kickstarter video that helped them become one of Australia’s early crowdfunding success stories, raising over $40,000 — doubling their original goal. Quad Lock has gone on to be a leader in the phone case mounting industry and is still a client today!
Crowdfunding videos play in a fun area of people and product. Building a story that gives potential backers an insight into the team — their vision — while effectively communicating the product.
Crowdfunding rewards preparation. Understanding your backers and being realistic with your expectations.
As a video production company, we’re in a unique position to get a behind the scenes look at the teams we work with — it’s the reason we love what we do.
Joan have done the work needed to successfully launch Tiller. From prototyping, to logistics and marketing.
We’re excited for the launch of their Kickstarter campaign.
